Different physicochemical techniques were used to characterize <em>p</em>-Ag NPs. The results confirm the synthesis of crystalline <em>p</em>-Ag NPs having a nearly spherical shape with a net positive charge. Further, <em>p</em>-Ag NPs exhibit strong antibacterial activity against Gram -ve bacteria.
